Philanthropy

It's for a good cause...

Description

Welcome! The philanthropy committee is basically all about volunteer and contributing to good causes. We do both small and big volunteer events throughout the year. Some of our smaller events include food drives, toy drives, and blood drives.

Our bigger events include I-help, which is this huge Illini volunteer project that connects us to many volunteer events around the community. Another big event is the Relay-For-Life, which is an event designed to raise money for research and programs for the American Cancer Society. For this event, our organization raises money and in the second semester, we all gather to celebrate the whole campus working hard to eliminate cancer.

Relay for Life Benefit Concert

Event: AAA goes to Relay for Life Benefit Concert
Date: Feb. 9th, Thursday
Place: Canopy
Time: Doors open at 8pm (performances start 8:30pm) til 2am
Price: $5 pre-order or $7 at the door

Come support Relay for Life and Colleges Against Cancer in our fight against cancer during this "Relay for Life Benefit Concert." Money from your ticket purchase will go directly back to our team's total. All the money raised will go towards the American Cancer Society to fund cancer research, cancer patient programs, transportation for patients and more.

Performers include Josh Brickman, The 92s, Mike Lo and DJ MVP
